With the radar fried, the Germans circle the region.
The landscape is peppered with emplacements, disguised and hiding behind thick bocage. Trenches and minefields hug the treelines and Rommel’s asparagus terrorises incoming air support. Should the boys on the beach succeed, they’ll be walking into a trap. The claws of the enemy sink deeper into the sides of the Allies. Every farm, field and forest is a foothold in Europe, every furlong a new frontline of the war.
But nestled in the candle-lit attics of the creaking barns, the Resistance waits to strike. It’s time to find them. Time to take back control of the countryside and devour the eagle from within.
It was my responsibility to create the central farms, trenches and rural areas of Sniper Elite 5's opening mission. From blockout to polish, my responsibilities included modelling, UVing, texturing, lighting, composition and set-dressing. I collaborated with Helene Vellevoog (LD) and Beck Shaw (Lead LD) to ensure encounters, cover and combat spaces were approachable, while maintaining an element of strategic risk. Additional lighting support from Adam Tinning. Thank you to all for your contributions!
